As you are blessed with incredible opportunities and advancements in life or the workforce, you must remember to use your experiences to help others succeed. To suggest others endure negativity to signify undergoing a rites of passage only refutes your purpose which is to help others. The saying, "Well I went through it, so you have to go through it too" is erroneous and unkind and can cause others to no longer believe in themselves. Do not forget where you once were. Thus why it is important to help others. Remember, as you have been empowered, you must begin now to empower others.
